BCCI suspended IPL for this season

ANI twits – IPL suspended for this season: Vice-President BCCI Rajeev Shukla to ANI

Due to the increase in number of COVID cases among the players BCCI have decided to suspend this season of IPL. Players of the Franchise KKR, CSK and SRH have been tested covid positive till now.

BCCI’s president Rajeev Shukla said – “ IPL has been suspended, we will see whether we can rescheduled it, it is not cancelled. It is just suspended for now.

Earlier 2 players of KKR ( V chakrvarthy and Sandeep Warrior ) and 3 staff members of CSK tested COVID positive. And now on Tuesday wicketkeeper batsmen of SRH Wriddhiman Saha also tested for COVID-19.

The 30th IPL match between KKR and RCB slated  to be played on Monday evening but got rescheduled for the further notice. But now the whole tournament is entangled and shifted for the next decision.
